What gets me up in the morning?

A B O U T  M E

My name is Sue Nixson and I have a passion for the printed word. In my career of almost 20 years in graphic design and print production, I believe that the need for traditional forms of advertising and printed collaterals play an important part in consumer’s searches for products and services.

I began my career at the Smithsonian Institution in print production on the staff of Air & Space Magazine. I started doing design and art direction at various organizations in the Washington DC metropolitan area before relocating to the Shenandoah River valley. I have a master’s degree in Journalism and the Graphic Arts from Texas A&M University.

Since I have operated a small design firm, I know a little about running a small business. For many owners, finding the time to work on their needs in advertising and marketing hardly ever happens.

This is where sevenDC Design comes in.

From the corner of Seventh and D Street on Washington DC’s Capitol Hill to Falls Church, Virginia and finally to Lake Frederick, outside Winchester, Virginia – we’ve selected memorable places to create our own story.

We are a small design firm, but we deliver big solutions. We’ll listen, we’ll advise, and we’ll create marketing pieces that work for you. You stay focused on your business and we’ll take care of your marketing needs.

At sevenDC Design we offer a combination of strategic planning, design and advertising services that produce creative, solutions-orientated results. From strategizing about how to best reach your target audience to designing advertisements, company newsletters, flyers and postcards – we engage with you and form a marketing partnership to create visual designs and marketing solutions that work!

Not everyone can see the value in working this way, and we understand that. It’s what works for us. It keeps us close to our clients without layers of management getting in the way. It enables us to get to know your business better. And the more we know about you, the better we can work together.

Now that you know a little more about me…

How can I help?
